This book and the series as a whole deserves far more attention than it currently has. So realizing this I kept reading. Books by Camilla Chafer. I liked her character, her emotions and reactions were easy to picture in the situations she found herself in. I enjoyed reading this magoc about everything but humans.

Fortunately, all this changes when she reaches Meg’s property, a huge old and safe house. The situations were believable and you could really connect with Stella and the other characters.

Stella is brought in front of the Council,introduced to a society of witches, men and women with magic, acquired or inherited, she never knew existed.

The magical element in the story is described thoroughly, giving the reader a bit more insight into this paranormal world of witches, vampires and daemons the author has created. That Kitty told Stella about Meg during the stand-off had me guffawing. When it becomes apparent that someone is out for blood, Stella’s especially, the Council decides to protect her, at all costs. She’d always know that there were others like her out there, yet she never expected to meet them so soon in so short a time.

Sometimes I found myself wanting to skip ahead and look for the good stuff when I nagic bored of watching Stella working on her lessons yet again.
